If you’re dealing with worn or fading brakes, this DeeMaxx 13" disc brake kit is a big step up in performance. The 1-piece hub-and-rotor assembly reduces uneven wear and keeps the braking surface true. Ceramic brake pads provide consistent, smooth braking that feels solid and controlled every time you slow down. Each kit includes everything needed to upgrade one 8,000-lb axle with #42 spindles and 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern wheels.

Road salt and water can quickly ruin unprotected brakes, but the Maxx coating on these rotors, calipers, and brackets resists corrosion for over 1,000 hours in salt spray testing. That’s far beyond typical zinc or Dacromet finishes. This protection makes them ideal for trailers that see saltwater, brackish launches, or winter roads. The coating keeps parts looking clean and performing reliably even after repeated exposure to moisture.

Long descents and heavy loads can build heat fast. DeeMaxx combats that with a vented rotor design and extra drainage holes in the hat section to move air and moisture out quickly. This setup helps prevent brake fade, reduces pad wear, and keeps braking performance steady over time. It’s the same engineering that lets these brakes pass the demanding SAE J2681 automotive brake test for friction performance.
DeeMaxx builds every detail around saving time and hassle. Laser-etched bleeding instructions on the back of each caliper make maintenance straightforward, so you’ll always have the right info handy when servicing the brakes. The kit includes pre-installed inner (25580) and outer (02475) bearings, races, grease seals, E-Z Lube caps, stainless steel mounting bolts, wheel bolts, and lug nuts—all designed to bolt up cleanly for a reliable install.

Every part of this system is made for durability—cast iron hub-rotor assemblies, ceramic pads that handle high temperatures, and hardware that stays tight under load. With an 8,000-lb axle capacity, 5/8" wheel bolts, and a 7-year warranty, this kit is built to deliver long-term stopping power you can count on.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this DeeMaxx 13 inch hub and rotor assembly kit with the eight on 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern, the 5/8 inch diameter wheel studs for 8,000 pound axles, and it has the MAXX coat finish. Now this kit here will let you upgrade your trailer from drum to disc brakes for superior performance. It will include everything I laid out here on the table. We're gonna go through all the parts, and we'll start here with the hub and rotor assemblies. There's two MAXX coat cast iron hub and rotor assemblies, and they do have the bearing races pre-installed in them.
Also comes with the two inner bearings, the two outer bearings, the two grease seals, the two easy lube grease caps that'll go on the end of the hub here. And then you notice the lug nuts are included. There's a total of 16 5/8 inch by 18 size lug nuts to hold your wheel and tire (indistinct) to here, and also the MAXX coat calipers with the brake pads installed and the installation bolts. And over here the MAXX coat caliper mounting brackets. Now this kit will also require a hydraulic brake actuator that's rated at 1500 PSI or above and brake lines to activate your brakes.
Those items are sold separately on our website. Now the hub and rotors, these are a one piece hub and rotor assembly, so that will reduce the chance of uneven rotor wear. And if you notice on them at the sides here, they have a vented design to them and that's to dissipate the heat faster to prevent premature brake pad wear. Also, if you notice on the hat section or hat section of the hub and rotor assembly, they have these drainage holes, and that's to allow the water to drain easily, further minimizing any corrosion. Now this kit here is excellent for occasional use in salt water or areas with a lot of snow slush and road salt.
We mentioned the MAXX coat finish. They use that on the hub and rotor assemblies, the calipers and the caliper brackets, it has a salt spray rating of over 1000 hours. This will offer dramatically shorter stopping distances and lot smoother control braking. Now I did want to show you the calipers 'cause on the inside of 'em here, they do have the ceramic brake pads to increase stopping power, and the piston that's on the inside here, that applies to the brake pads. This piston is a stainless steel piston and it is 2 1/4 inch diameter piston, so it will provide fast responsive braking.
This does require minimal maintenance, saving you time and money. Actually, even if you look at the front of the caliper, you see they have the laser etched instructions on the caliper to take the guesswork out of installing these calipers and leading the brakes. Now this does fit the AL-KO 8,000 pound axles with the number 42 spindle. The wheel size that'll fit on these is 16 inches and larger. We mentioned the bolt pattern, eight on 6 1/2 inches, wheel stud diameter 5/8 of an inch. The rotor diameter 13 inches. And on the caliper brackets that this will mount to you notice there's four holes. So they're designed to attach to a four bolt brake flange configuration on your axle. But that should do it for a review on the DeeMaxx 13 inch hub and rotor assembly kit, eight on 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern with the 5/8 inch wheel studs for 8,000 pound axles.
